Three principles for resilience and success in 2025.

man sitting at desk with arms around him.

In this post:

Three principles that will assist you in being resilient while growing in 2025. I don’t know about you, but it still feels surreal to think that 2025 is already upon us. It’s interesting to notice how society has been changing over the last couple of years. From being peaceful and quite over the holiday season to more and more businesses staying open through the festive time. My conclusion is that this change has created a non-stop effect where each year flows into each other without that natural transition, pause and reflect. With that in mind I would like to give you three principles that will combat this effect as well as set you up for resilience and success in 2025.

Principle one: The basics:

Its tried, true and so simple that it’s hard to follow. I am referring to the basic principles that are essential to our well being. This includes, being mindful of your sleeping patterns and rest. Consider this, if the maker of heaven and earth took a rest day, who are we to keep working 7 days a week and think nothing bad will happen. What does your sleeping patterns look like, and do you have a regular day of rest in your routine?

Principle 2: Regular times of communion with God:

I intentionally refer to communion and not prayer for this principle, because communion can be reading/ listening to scripture, worshipping God in song, poems or art. And yes, speaking to God also. The tip I want to give you is not to be sidetracked by emotion. You can be so overwhelmed by emotion that you do not feel like communion. In those times respond to God calling out to you throughout the day by acknowledging the presence of God. The more you respond to God calling out to you, the more your emotion will catch up.

The more you respond to God calling out to you, the more your emotion will catch up.

Principle 3: Inner narrative:

The last principle I want to leave you with is to be mindful of your inner narrative or self-talk. What are your thoughts about the year, yourself, opportunities, and challenges? A helpful practice for me is to exchange any negative self-talk with a promise from the Word of God and meditate on that promise.

Conclusion:

Above all else remember that God is with you and loves you more than you can know. Meditating on His love for you will refresh and change your perspective. May 2025 be a year of discovery and opportunity for you as you continue to grow in the grace of God.

PS. I know that the start of the year may feel overwhelming and complex. Consider contacting me (0790842141) about a coaching series of 4 sessions, R300 per session over two months, to assist you breaking down the complex, establishing healthy structure, as well as working on your inner narrative.
